As the monsoon season finally gives way and autumn beckons, it is only right for the cocktail you devour to reflect this change. With colors reminiscent of the browning leaves, the regal and nostalgia-ridden Sidecar is the obvious choice.
Credited to an American captain serving in Paris during World War I, this cocktail was named for the motorcycle attachment of the time. Quickly becoming a favorite among the who’s who of London and Paris, the Sidecar provided a fresh variation, capturing the minds of those who were bored of the usual.
- 500 ml Cognac
- 200 ml Triple Sec
- 200 ml Lemon Juice
- Prepare the glass with a rim of fine sugar.
- Pour ingredients into an ice filled shaker.
- Shake well and strain into the glass.
ThreeSixty Signature Tip – Though any Triple Sec will do, Cointreau makes the Sidecar truly memorable
